Correction: Thanks to Fred Frenzel, Biologist with the Department of Game & Inland Fisheries, we offer this correction to our Species Spotlight on the Fisher: It is illegal to hunt or trap fisher in Virginia. There is a limited trapping season in West Virginia. So if fisher start repopulating Virginia, they're protected (for now!). Thanks Fred!
